First Flight Celebration

December 17, 2003 -- In honor of the one hundredth anniversary of the Wright Brothers' first flight, today I gave sight-seeing rides to 30 friends. I made nine flights starting at 7:30 AM. We got off to a late start due to a transponder that wouldn't turn on, and we had the door pop open just as we rotated for take-off on one flight, but other than that it was a great day.
