Forty-some years ago Martin Luther King dreamed of a day when a man would be judged not on the color of his skin but on the content of his character. Once again, Barack Obama's skin color took center stage at an inauguration that featured one of the most racist statements I've ever heard.

I don't know why I'm continually surprised at how stupid my fellow citizens are. You'd think after 49 years of observing people that I'd be immune to these feelings of frustration. Yet here we are two weeks from the 2008 election and about half of you say you're voting for Barrack Obama.

Today, as John McCain announced Sarah Palin as his running mate, the liberal media is excitedly arguing that McCain can no longer denigrate Obama's lack of experience, since he has just as little experience as Palin.

Why New York's Internet Sales Tax Won't Fly

Craig is right again... Amazon is suing the state of New York over its clearly illegal and unethical attempt to obligate citizens of other states to serve as tax collectors for New York: http://www.nysun.com/news/amazoncom-sues-stop-ny-tax.


New York plans to enforce a new law requiring Internet retailers to collect sales tax on sales shipped to customers in New York. This sounds fair, since local retailers have to collect the tax. But it's not just unfair, it's illegal.
